Adult Sunday School Class to begin study on Samuel

Our Adult Sunday School class that meets at 9:30 on Sunday mornings has just finished up a year and a half studying the book of Revelation. That might sound a bit crazy but I think those who participated would agree we had a good time together and learned a lot. This week we’ll be starting to study another book of the Bible, this one out of the Old Testament, the book of Samuel. Samuel is broken up into two sections, 1st and 2nd Samuel but it is one story. Samuel is probably the most psychological narrative of the Old Testament with in depth studies of humanity through the characters of Samuel, Saul and David. Most of all, however, it is a story of how God accomplishes his work through very flawed people. If you have been curious about the Adult Sunday School class and perhaps wanted to find a good time to jump in, this would be a good time. pvk

In our Sunday School study of the book of Revelation we looked at the first 5 bowls and then the 6th bowl. of God’s wrath.

On the 15th we heard Jesus tell us when we hold a luncheon or a dinner to invite those who can’t reciprocate. Yesterday we heard the parable of THE great banquet and we received our invitations.

Harvest Festival Party, All Are Welcome

Need something for the kids or grandkids today? Living Stones is doing a Harvest Festival today (Oct 31) at church from 2 to dark. We’ve got free popcorn, cotton candy, and lots of candy. There will be two bounce houses for different ages, a cake walk, pumpkin golf, a three legged race, a sack race and other games with prizes. We’ve got door prizes courtesy of R5 Records. Everything is free. Stuff for kids of all ages. Come and hang out with us with the whole family for the afternoon.
