At 9:30 we’ll begin Revelation 14. The dragon and his beasts were allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them. On Mount Zion appeared the Lamb that had been slain and his army of 144,000 to reveal the lie of the dragon’s impostor regime.
At 11:00 we’ll talk about time and pain in the light of Luke 13:6-9. Does God excuse himself from our pain?
After the 11:00 Worship Service we’ll have a congregational meeting where we’ll elect new elders and deacons, vote on the budget, and vote on the status of the lease with the Living Stones Center. We will have food after the service so those of you who were here for the whole morning won’t faint.

9:30: The Adult Sunday School study of the book of Revelation will start up again and we’ll resume by looking at chapter 13. In chapter 13 there is an unholy trinity of the dragon and two beasts who parody the work of Jesus but conquer through coercion rather than loving sacrifice.
11:00 We’ll look at Luke 12 where Jesus says he didn’t come to bring peace, but division. These words seems strange coming from someone who is named “the Prince of Peace”. We’ll try to figure out together what that means.
At 9:30 we’ll look at Revelation 13 where a strange beast comes out of the sea. What can we make of all this?
At 11:00 we’ll see how Peter was inching towards becoming a Pharisee and how Jesus’ story works him, and us, away from it.
After the worship service we’ll have a potluck for Phillip Vander Klay who will be heading off to Calvin College in the fall. Nina will have hotdogs read. Others are asked to bring a salad, side dish or desert to share.
