Revelation: New Adult Sunday School Study

Tuesday 22 July 2008 at 9:16 pm Our 9:30 Adult Sunday School class will begin a new book of the Bible this coming Sunday, the book of Revelation. Probably no other book in the New Testament raises so much excitement and anxiety. In our class we take things slowly, methodically working through the book. Now would be a good time to get in if you are interested.

In our Adult Sunday School we had a one week study on the book of Philemon. This is possibly the most practical book on the gospel in the New Testament. audio mp3.

Pray for the City

A small group of us are gathering at church at 6:00pm the second Sunday of the month to pray for the city. We often pray for the needs among us and for the needs of those we know as a regular part of our ministry, but we also believe it is important to pray that God would move in a mighty way in the Sacramento area where we live.

Throughout the history of Christianity there have been times and places where God has moved large groups of people into his life. These movements have been marked with people turning to God in all dimensions of their lives. Churches grow, justice moves forward, the poor are cared for, the arts flourish, people and relationships are healed. This prayer time is dedicated to ask God to move in this way in Sacramento. There is no agenda beyond this one, we just gather together to pray.

If you’d like to join us just show up at 6:00pm this coming Sunday evening at Living Stones and join us. We’re not discouraged if there are only two or three. We won’t be disappointed if there are more. If you want to pray for the city just come. pvk

At Sunday School we're nearing the home stretch on Ephesians and are taking up the famous section on the armor of God. Click here for an MP3.

At 11:00 we had the second week in our treatment of the three part sequence in Jesus' parable of the Sower dealing with this supposed "secret" that Jesus was revealing to his disciples. Shush, don't tell anyone.
